Repro steps
- 1.Click the 'Pick a zone' combobox dropdown to expand the options list.
- 2.Type a search query (e.g., 'Zone 100' or 'Zone 50') to filter the options down to matched results.
- 3.Press the Escape key to close the dropdown.
Expected
Closing the filtered dropdown dismisses the popup smoothly without resetting or flashing the full unfiltered list of options.
Actual
Dismissing the dropdown clears or resets the filter state before closing, causing the menu to flash unfiltered entries / expand to full-list height while closing.

### Description When dismissing an active, filtered combobox/dropdown (e.g., pressing Escape after typing a search term like 'Zone 100' or 'Zone 50'), the component resets the filter/search value before closing, causing unfiltered entries / full dropdown dimensions to flash briefly. ### Steps to Reproduce 1. Open the 'Pick a zone' combobox dropdown (t=4.4s). 2. Type a filter term such as `Zone 100` (t=7.0s) or `Zone 50` (t=19.0s) to reduce the list. 3. Press `Escape` (t=8.4s / t=19.4s) to dismiss the dropdown. ### Expected Behavior The dropdown menu should close immediately or animate out in its filtered state without flashing unfiltered items. ### Actual Behavior The dropdown clears its filter immediately upon dismissal input, flashing unfiltered list entries before closing. *Recorded with SceneRecap.*
