os: macOSbrowser: Chromium 151.0.7922.34viewport: 1280x720
Repro steps
- 1.Open the demo page containing Radix UI Tooltip and Popover components.
- 2.Click on the 'Popover.Trigger' button to open the popover.
- 3.Inspect the opened popover content and nested tooltip state.
Expected
Opening the popover should display its contents without automatically displaying the nested tooltip content.
Actual
The popover automatically focuses the inner Tooltip.Trigger, causing 'Tooltip.Content in Popover' to open immediately upon opening the popover.
Evidence
visualAt 5.0s, hovering over 'Normal Tooltip.Trigger' displays 'Normal Tooltip.Content' as normal tooltip behavior.
visualAt 9.0s, clicking 'Popover.Trigger' causes 'Tooltip.Content in Popover' to open immediately without hovering over the tooltip trigger.
visualIn the control case at 17.0s, opening 'Popover.Trigger with focus preventDefault' keeps 'Tooltip.Content in Popover' closed because onOpenAutoFocus is prevented.

### Summary
When a Radix UI Tooltip is nested inside a Popover, opening the popover automatically focuses the nested Tooltip.Trigger. This causes the tooltip content to open immediately without user intent.
### Steps to Reproduce
1. Open the demo page at 0.0s.
2. Click the 'Popover.Trigger' button at 7.45s.
3. Observe the popover content at 9.0s.
### Expected Result
The popover should open showing 'Tooltip.Trigger in Popover', but the nested tooltip content should remain closed until specifically hovered or focused by the user.
### Actual Result
The nested tooltip trigger receives focus automatically from the popover, immediately opening 'Tooltip.Content in Popover' alongside the popover.
### Control Evidence
At 17.0s, clicking 'Popover.Trigger with focus preventDefault' (configured with `onOpenAutoFocus={(e) => e.preventDefault()}`) successfully opens the popover without automatically opening the tooltip content.
