Download the video from Loom
Save it from Loom as an MP4. Any screen recording file works the same way: MP4, WebM, MOV, MKV, GIF or WebP.

Upload it and pick Tutorial
Drop the file on the upload page and choose Tutorial mode. You can cut, blur or mute parts before it uploads. Length limit per recording: 1 min on Free, 1 hour on Pro.

The AI writes numbered steps with a screenshot each and a timestamp that plays that part of your video. Export it or share the link.
What you get, and what to expect

Your narration counts
If you talked through the Loom, the audio is transcribed (on a long video, the first several minutes) and used as context for the steps. Silent videos work too.
A screenshot per step
Taken from your video at each step's moment, so nobody has to pause and screenshot by hand.
Steps that play the video
Each step links to its second in the uploaded video, on the recording page and on the share link.
Evidence is visual only
An exported video has no click log, so the AI works from the pixels and your voice. A small or fast click can come out vaguer than it would from a recording made with the extension.
Check it before uploading
Nothing on screen is masked automatically in an uploaded file. Look for passwords or personal data first, and blur or cut them in the editor.

The same upload can be re-analyzed as an explanation or a bug report from the recording page.

Can I paste a Loom link instead?
No. SceneRecap needs the video file itself, so download it from Loom first and upload the MP4.
Which plan do I need?
Tutorial mode is on every plan, Free included. Each plan sets a length limit per recording: 1 min on Free and 1 hour on Pro. A longer video can be trimmed in the upload editor to fit.
Will the guide be as good as one recorded with the extension?
Often close, not always. The extension also logs clicks, page changes and console errors, which pin down exactly what was clicked. From an uploaded video the AI has the pixels and your narration only, so it can miss a small or quick click.
Does this work for videos from other tools?
Yes. QuickTime, OBS, a phone screen recording or anything else that exports MP4, WebM, MOV, MKV, GIF or WebP. The pipeline is the same one the extension uses.
