Before upload
- Review the clip on the review page — nothing uploads until you press Upload & analyze.
- Save to disk instead of uploading — always available, even signed out.
On the upload page, choose Trim, blur or mute before uploading: cut ranges out entirely, drag blur boxes over regions for a time range, and mute audio spans. Everything is applied on our servers during processing, cut moments are removed from the interaction log too, and the unedited original is deleted once processing succeeds. The same editor inside the extension’s review page is next; until then, save the recording locally and use the upload page when something needs redacting.
Where recording is blocked
Recording is always disabled in incognito windows and on browser-internal pages (chrome://, extension pages). A per-domain blocklist and capture toggles (console/network, query strings) are planned.
After upload
Recordings are private to you and your workspace until you share. The AI flags recordings where credentials, PII or financial data appear on screen so you can review before sharing. Delete a recording from your library and it goes to a 30-day trash before it and all of its media are permanently removed. To delete your whole account, email contact@scenerecap.com from your account address — there is no self-serve control for it yet.
